Waverley Primary School is a welcoming school with a strong community focus. We pride ourselves on being able to individually cater for each student’s learning needs and abilities. Waverley Primary School provides an all round education offering an outstanding creative arts program and many opportunities to be involved in sporting endeavours and public speaking. We have a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy; offering a fun and exciting curriculum for all students. We are committed to improving students’ learning through the use of technology. We have seven interactive whiteboards and a large computer lab.
When to start school
Your child can start Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn five on or before 31 July in that year. By law, all children must start school by their sixth birthday.
An Application to Enrol form needs to be completed. The application to enrol in a NSW Government school form is available as part of our enrolment pack, which you can download from PDF link above, collect from the school office or have it posted out to you. This enrolment is standard in all NSW Government schools. You will need to provide the following documentation prior to your child starting school.
- Birth certificate or passport
- Complete Immunisation certificate
- Proof of residential address, (e.g. original copy of council rates notice, lease agreement, electricity account, or statutory declaration etc)
